They are migratory fish, following schools of baitfish such as menhaden shad and mullet, heading north from Florida in spring, all the way to Maine by the end of the summer.

  The fishing in the lower today slowed to a steady trickle of fish moving thru. There are a fair number of Steelhead mixed in the lower section and heard some  reports of Steelhead being caught in the upper end.  This year Salmon season is far from over and looks like it will last into November.    The fishing is good from.
